Experiment and find out which work best for you. Even a few minutes a day could make a huge difference for you. The meditations I offer include: visualization, light, heart based, sound, chakras (centers), and breath work. My Journey In 1966, I was a magazine editor in my early twenties, living on the fast track in New York City and California. Although my career was very glamorous, I was having health issues that were completely related to stress. I met someone who introduced me to meditation and my health issues completely disappeared. In New York. I meditated with some of the great teachers of that era including Hilda and Swami Satchidananda. I met Shahabuddin David Less, who was leading Sufi Dancing, the Dances ofUniversal Peace, in Central Park. These dances opened my heart and Shahabuddin has been my friend and guide ever since. In a pivotal moment, in 1969, I met the great Sufi teacher Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, who became my teacher for the next 38 years until his passing. His father Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan was a great Sufi Master who brought the Sufi message of love, harmony and beauty to the West. Pir Vilayat’s teaching was very universal, incorporating many of the great spiritual traditions in his meditations. He was very relevant, making the link between science, music and psychology with meditation. His teachings are being carried forth by his son, Pir Zia Inayat Khan. Since Pir Vilayat’s passing, I have studied and been guided by Shahabuddin, my great friend and teacher. Many of the meditations that I offer are based on his teachings. Over the years, I have been to India several times, done many meditation retreats and have met wonderful fellow practitioners. Meditation hasbeen integral to my life. My life is very rich, with my successful business and community involvement. Regular meditation has given me balance, vitality, well-being, and a much broader outlook on life. It has awakened me to the inner dimensions as well as the cosmic vastness. I am deeply grateful to all the great beings that I have met on this extraordinary journey.
