Based in Brisbane, Qld, community choir conductor, workshop facilitator and composer Kiri Waiata is a firm believer in the multifaceted benefits of singing in a community choir.

Singing is often described by most as something others do.  Kiri will dispute that.  .

Kiri has the knack for quickly getting people singing.  An easy manner and having a varied, simple repertoire on hand is key to creating harmony within the group and individual simultaneously.  At once, dispelling doubt and increasing confidence.

A sort after facilitator, Kiri runs workshops on the power of sound and voice to  improve ones singing and speaking voice and enhance meditation and spiritual practices.

Choral workshops on improvisation, introducing people to group singing and working with experienced choristers teaching original compositions are well received and in demand.

At the heart of the work Kiri does is a desire to “save the world, one choir at a time.”
