Now there are many ways to focus the energy for meditation. There are healing meditations for example if you are injured or sick. This is one of the most utilized meditation benefits and is an extremely effective use of meditation.
Okay, so one of the easiest ways to learn to meditate is to use my video below, but before you do, take a moment to read the rest of the instructions below for this guided meditation. Though truth be told, you will be guiding yourself. I find that using a MP3 meditation CD can be very helpful.
Here we go. This is meditation for beginners, but don’t be fooled, it is a very effective mindfulness meditation. The goal here is just to relax the whole body. And allow your thoughts to drift where they will. It is good to try and focus on pleasant thoughts, a warm beach scene or any other pleasant memory that might bring you peaceful and happy thoughts.
The key here to this method on how to learn to meditate is to lie down on a comfortable surface. Usually a bed will work best. Now before you do this, start playing the video below, it has wonderfully beneficial meditation music that will soothe your weary soul. The video will last about 5 minutes. As you start to enjoy this more, you’ll want to get longer MP3 meditation music and work your way up to 30 minutes or more, every day ideally.
So lie down on the bed and get comfy. Now there are 2 approaches you can use here. The first is to tense and release each muscle as you work your way down from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes. An alternative method is to just contemplate each muscle from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes. As you are doing that, try to imagine each muscles turning into a puddle and relaxing even more.
Either of these ways are an easy way to learn to meditate. You’ll probably find that by the time you reach your toes, the music will have stopped. you can just continue on with this mindfulness meditation or get up at this point as you will feel nicely relaxed. This is a tremendous way to great a quick meditation recalibration if you will.
As you can see, to learn to mediate is easy. Allow your mind to wonder, but try and gently bring it back to the task at hand. This is your 5, 15 or 30 minute break from the stressors of the day. Allow for peaceful and relaxing thoughts. These meditation exercises will hold tremendous value for you over the years.
