In a written application, applicants are asked to assess their priorities and perspectives as well as their limitations and abilities, and to reflect on challenges and influences on their path in life. The skill of open, gentle self-reflection is a quality the trainee will continue to cultivate during the Academy in order to engage theprocess of meditation effectively and to develop confidence in practice. During the Academy training, participants will be asked to identify emotional and mental blocks that limit openness, positive qualities, and creativity. We therefore encourage applicants to give this application the time, attention, and self-transparency that it requires in order to open the door to a deeper level of self-inquiry that is the foundation of the Academy training. That tuition includes: A US $750.00 payment, due thirty days after receiving your acceptance letter. If you choose not to enter the Academy after making this payment, you will receive a full refund minus a $75.00 processing fee. After you enter the Academy, this payment is non-refundable. Four weeks prior to the beginning of each of the two yearly Group Training Retreats, each trainee will pay US $1,525.00. Late payments will result in a penalty of $25.00. If you are unable to attend one of the 6 Group Training Retreats, tuition is still due and arrangements mustbe made with your mentor to cover the missed material. The following costs are included in the Academy’s tuition fees of $9,900.00: tuition costs for two Group Training Retreats per year for two and a half years program study materials such as written practice instructions and internet access to the recorded teachings of each GTR (audio) a total of five one-hour mentor sessions, one between each group training retreat two telecommunication courses per year for 2.5 consecutive years (total of 5) The cost of the Academy does not include: the cost of transportation the cost of food and lodging at group training retreats any cost incurred for individual retreats the cost of any additional mentor sessions beyond the hour-long sessions between each Academy (total of five) At the time of Application, each applicant is required to pay a non-refundable application fee of US $100.00. Serenity Ridge offers space, quietude, and comfortable accommodations in private, semi-private, and dormitory rooms. Tent spaces also are available. Please note the prices below include meals.
