A bhajan is a devotional song. Bhajans can trace their beginnings back to classical ragas and talas. The word “bhajan” comes from “bhakti” which means devotion. Bhajan singing opens the heart and is a natural form of meditation.

“Singing the divine names and qualities actually manifests the energy of all those divine characters we are singing about – Guru, Ganesh, Muruga, Shiva, Krishna, Rama, and of course Mother Divine – and channels their blessings, healing and love to all those souls we are singing for – the mass shooting victims, the countless refugees, the shivering homeless, the PTSD veterans, the malnourished children, the abused women and minorities. It is so necessary, and such a service to God to join our hearts and breath through our voices, and share that healing balm through the unbounded ocean of consciousness that connects and is the source of all beings. Music is Medicine and together we will deliver it to all the heart broken souls craving relief and healing.” – Jonathan D. Rosen, Facebook, 12/3/2015
