In a world of constant change, continual stress, instant information, it is nice to know that we can find within an ancient discipline, the tools to create balance and harmony in our lives. This course will use basic yoga postures and Pranayama (Yogic Breathing Techniques) as tools to prepare and lead your mind into meditation and is open to all levels of experience. This is a highly experiential class with in depth instruction and plenty of practice time.

In yoga and art she found the perfect instruments for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual exploration, creativity, and joy. Undergoing rigorous training and perpetually learning, Sonja is an enriching source of inspiration, knowledge, encouragement, and lighthearted humor. With over a decade of teaching experience, Sonja has developed what she calls the art of yoga – a moving meditation which empowers you to increase strength, improve flexibility, and cultivate body awareness. Her classes have a spiritualessence, and oftentimes are themed around a concept of yoga philosophy. The postures and sequences she instructs are deliberately crafted in real time as to accommodate each student’s abilities and to bring optimal benefit to each and every practitioner.
