A Diamond has many facets of illuminating sparkles, reflecting light in every which way; making diamonds a much sought after and beautiful gem.
Who doesn’t want a diamond? Naturally it is something to be sought after-in all forms. We are diamond seekers. We are light seekers! That is why we are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is why we continually seek truth, while knowing we have a complete truth, and realizing that we are truth. Joseph Smith restored lost and scrambled truths. “Meditation on a passage of scripture…led a young boy into a grove of trees to commune with his Heavenly Father. That is what opened the heavens in this dispensation.” – Ezra Taft Benson6 Other religions and cultures have truths as well, which we can and add to our core, fundamental truth. “God has been using not merely his covenant people, but other people of the world as well, to carry out a work that is too demanding for the limited numbers of Latter-day Saints to accomplish. God and great men and women… who have thought profoundly… have been inspired by God under many circumstances to deliver dimensions of lightand truth…[including] Zarathustra, Buatama Buddha, Lao Tzu, Muhammed, and Guru Nanak.” – Orson F. Whitney Do I have to state this? There are more dimensions of light and truth, inspired by more than just the people in the church. If I may be so bold, I know that all light and truth can strengthen our testimony, and bring us closer to Christ. No matter where it comes from…truth is truth. Maybe it is worded a little differently, but the light still shines just as bright. I am here bringing light to another dimension of truth. One that simply strengthens and adds to our core and fundamental truth. This facet of the diamond is called Kundalini Yoga Meditation. Now, it may be a new and different word you have never heard of before. Lets for a moment be open to the possibility of learning a unique, (we are a ‘peculiar’ people, are we not?) tool that can bring us closer to the Light of Christ, shall we? “Meditation does not mean you have gone into a deep breathless trance and are beyondthis world. … It integrates you more fully with reality and gives you a broader vision and sensitivity so that you can act more efficiently.” ~Yogi Bhajan The word yoga means union—specifically union with God, and comes from the ancient word “yoke.” As in “Take my yoke upon you” (Matt 11:29). Indeed, anciently, yoga was about the practices, principles and disciplines that led one to that state of union with God. Kundalini is actually the parent of all yogas and is also a meditation technology. All other yogas are facets of Kundalini, whereby they all reflect it. By that I mean that all yogas are part of, or came out of the complete technology of kundalini yoga meditation. Kundalini yoga is simply a technology to bring out our truth. A key phrase used in kundalini is “Sat Nam”=True You, and is the premise of kundalini. Kundalini is another way of manifesting the creative potential of man. God/Christ Consciousness=Kundalini. It is a meditation where The Lord is talking to you. Whyhaven’t I heard about it before? Kundalini has been on the earth for thousands and thousands of years. Yet was only taught and passed down to the highest and most noble of the East. Why haven’t I heard of it before and why is it such a secret and supposedly ‘hidden treasure’, ? –It is not secretive, but very very sacred. (Sound familiar?) The reason was because it is a very powerful technology, and most people weren’t ready for that kind of power. They couldn’t handle it, or worse, couldn’t be trusted not to corrupt it. I believe this is the same reason that Jesus embedded many of his teaching in parables. Simply put, our church is still evolving and adapting to the culture and times we are in. And now that we are entering in an Aquarian ), more and more people are waking up! I.e., Eating healthy is actually the ‘thing to do’, doctors are prescribing probiotics instead of antibiotics (finally!), ‘indie’ (short for individual) youth are breaking the norms of fitting in and seekingindividuality. So maybe, the church will openly practice kundalini in the future! I don’t see why not. As our culture accepts, it seems like the church can openly accept. (Blacks holding the priesthood, Gay rights/marriage…) For now, let’s look at how meditation is being praised in the church: ________________ “Meditation is one of the most secret, most sacred doors through which we pass into the presence of the Lord.” - David O. McKay Don’t get so busy that you don’t have time to meditate. Take the time.... Christ may be nearer than we have knowledge. ‘I am in your midst, but you do not see me.’” –Harold B Lee. “You can come closer to the Lord than you imagine when you learn to meditate.” –Harold B Lee. “I wish for each of you a time, perhaps only and hour, spent in silent meditation and quiet reflection on the wonder and the majesty of this, the Son of God.” – Gordon B. Hinkley -And you thought the church didn’t talk about meditation! Now rewind to a 13 year old Jesus-which, is thelast mention of him in the bible before he comes back at the age of 29. Um, THATS A LONG TIME! Was he working with his father as a Carpender? I don’t think so. There’s much more for him to do than work with wood. And guess what, there was no wood in Jerusalem! So I almost everything is made out of stone. Just saying. So where did he go?? Might I propose this idea: Jesus was studying from the enlightened ‘wise men’ in the East! (Frankincense is off the charts for highest vibrations-think the wise men knew a thing or two) The gurus of India were showing Jesus perfected technologies to use in this world to ‘purify the inner light’. Jesus learned kundalini…and I believe Jesus taught his disciples this discipline (notice the similarity). Anyways, this is not doctrine, but it really makes sense to me. I mean, take a look at this- INDIA IS THE BIRTHPLACE OF RELIGION WITH THE OLDEST PHILOSOPHIES ON EARTH India is know as the birthplace of Religion. It has the oldest records on the Earth. WillDurante pHD says, “The scriptures of India are known as “the oldest extant philosophy and psychology of our race.” “India’s past is so ancient and has been so influential in the rise of civilization and religion… the mother of religion, the world’s earliest spiritual teachings of the Vedic tradition contains the most sublime and all embracing of philosophies.” HIMALAYAS GO EAST TO WEST •all mountain ranges on the earth go north to south, while the Himalayas go east to west, protecting India from the many ice ages/icebergs, thus enabling the inhabitants to not only survive, but thrive throughout time. Our purpose on this earth is spiritual development. To focus on filling the measure of our creation. GRACE FOR GRACE JESUS IS A SEEKER OF TRUTH In the D&C we learn that Christ was not born with a fullness of knowledge. “Grace for Grace” (D&C 93) It appears by 12 years old, He had studied Jewish law and scriptures well enough to awe the elders at the temple. It makes sense that when He hadmaxed out on spiritual truth where He was, that He would go after more, in the East. According to the above passage of scripture, Jesus did not receive Christ status until after he received the fullness. It was not until after 17 years of study in India that he returned to Palestine to begin his ministry. Then he was baptized and received the Holy Ghos
