Before I started meditating the idea of meditation was appealing, but didn’t seem like something I could actually get myself to do. Sitting down, and thinking about nothing for an extended period of time was a hard thing for me. I’m a Virgo, I always seem to have a million things on my mind. I get in my head far too often.
But while I was doing my teacher training in India we had a meditation class daily, and I started loving it. I realized that its not as intimidating as I thought it was going to be and its more about setting that intention of actually doing it, thats more of the struggle for me. Once I’m sitting down and there, its not so bad at all. Usually…

A big excuse people will have is that they don’t have the time. You have to make the time, and 10 minutes really isn’t asking a lot. Think about how much time you spend on your phone, checking Facebook, Instagram or emails. Making it part of your daily routine will definitely help you feel better! I love setting the tone and intention for each day in a positive grateful mindset. Try it out! See if it helps you get through your day with a smile on your face!
