There are so many benefits of meditation. An article published in Yale News discusses some of these benefits such as helping people stay focused as well as increased happiness levels. Other beneficial results are helping people quit smoking, cope with cancer, and even prevent psoriasis. There are other, more unexpected results such as improving psychiatric disorders.
Meditation is easy to learn and simple to practice. You can meditate alone or in a group. There are various forms of meditation. I am trained in Primordial Sound Meditation through the Chopra Center, but any method you choose and practice regularly will be beneficial.
A great weeklong meditation event will be in Toronto this August, Seduction of the Spirit. This program is for people who are new to meditation as an immersion as well as for experienced meditators.
