It has its basis in the breath and the chakras (energy centres in the spine). The system is developed and tested through thousands of years. In Kriya Yoga we experience inner Silence, which is the foundation for peace, happiness and self-realization. Regular Kriya practice is the tool, based on the breath, which takes prana (life force) to the body continously.By touching the Silence (no-duality) in the practice, this element gradually will be a conscious part of us and we will realize it as our home, as the Self. According to the tradition, longer periods with deep meditations are recommended to be taken every year. Silence will be kept most of the day according to a specific program. Whether you belong to this or that part of the tree, has no meaning for the deepest levelof life. All Kriyabans are invited to experience unity of life, in friendship and love.  The retreat and initiation will be lead by Per Wibe After twenty years pursuing spiritual efforts, Per started to give Kriya initiations in 1997. From his first day of teaching he said: “Be deeply inside. What you experience is because of Life and the masters, it is not my power.” He is connected to the Mahavatar Babaji Kriya Yoga tradition through his spiritual master Swami Shankarananda Giri of Kriya Yoga Ashram, Tapovan, Rishikesh, India. He has lived an ordinary life with family commitments and business activities. This has given him personal experience and insight into the life and problems of the modern human being. At the same time he has devoted most of his leisure time for thirty five years to meditation, spiritual studies and teaching. How to find us 30min drive from the German border, 1 ½ hr from Italy and 1 hr from Switzerland to the AlpenRetreat on the Tyrolean Fernpass airport Memmingen (München West) Within 1 hour20min drive and Innsbruck airport within 50min drive, Munich airport 2 hr drive Bus connections from the surrounding cities directly to our doorstep 5 train stations within 30 min drive: Lermoos, Ehrwald, Imst/Pitztal, Garmisch-Patenkirchen and Reutte Shuttle Service: We happily pick you up or drop you off for free from Lermoos, Ehrwald and the bus stop in Nassereith. Airport pick up and drop off is possible (a fee will apply) By Car Located on the Tyrolean Fernpass, in the north-west of Austria, close to the German border the AlpenRetreat is easily reached via the Fernpassstrasse B179 (E532). At the top of the Fernpass (Fernpasshöhe) there is a petrol station named "Dolle". Opposite of it on the other side of the street is a roadside restaurant (Fernpaß Rast), a red building, and a big yellow building (the former Fernpass hotel). Follow the small street between the restaurant and the yellow house for about 200m and you have reached the AlpenRetreat. Places connected bythe Fernpassstraße Füssen – Reutte – Heiterwang – Lermooser Tunnel – Fernpass (AlpenRetreat) – Nassereith. At the border-tunnel in Füssen the Fernpasstrasse connects with the federal highway 310 and the A 7. In Nassereith it merges into the B 189 along the Inntal (Inn valley) in direction south-east towards Telfs and in south-west direction towards Imst. In winter it is compulsory in Austria to have winter tires on your car. Although the Fernpassstrasse is well maintained and therefore easily accessible, sometimes the streets can still be covered in snow. In exceptional cases snow chains may be required (very rarely).
