Military Veterans and Meditation are typically terms that are not used together in the same sentence very often. However, many Veterans are finding meditation a very useful tool. Used to find calmness, self-awareness, focus, gratitude, patience just to name a few.
Bennett and I discuss meditation, how to use it, and benefits you could get from this positive activity in your life if you choose to give it a try.
If you have never given meditation a try, follow these steps and listen to the guidance in this episode. Seriously, what do you have to lose?
Becoming self-aware and truly knowing yourself. This includes your strengths but more importantly, knowing and understanding your weaknesses.
Step 1– Come to terms with yourself and realize that you have weaknesses.
Step 2– Understand that it is imperative you learn what these weaknesses are.
Phase 1 – Connection: focusing on your conscientious.
Phase 2 – Gratitude: being thankful and having gratitude for everything in your life through the use of all your senses.
Phase 3 – Forgiveness: ability to forgive yourself, forgive those who have wronged you.
Phase 4 – Visualization: picture different aspects of your life, visualize paying off your car, getting a promotion.
Phase 5 – Daily Intention: visualize the best version of your perfect day.
Phase 6 – Blessing: call on whatever higher power you believe in that you gain inner strength from.
