a television show takes years, which leads to an immense buildup for the endgame. It’s supposed to answer all our questions, leave no stone unturned and give us a satisfying conclusion to each of the characters we’ve cared about for so long. But that can’t be done, especially in a series as complex as Mad Men. Cerebral doesn’t go out with a bang. (Handout) Why should that onus pull upon the television show?
