(Level: Beginner-friendly, All levels) Hatha All Welcome Markus first discovered yoga in 2005, while looking for a fitness complement to intense outdoor activities such as running, rock climbing, and mountaineering. He was simply amazed by the multitude of health benefits andthe better mind/body awareness that a regular yoga practice would bring in every moment, and circumstance. He started on the yoga path by exploring Sivananda, Power and Hot Yoga that he practiced for a couple of years. At some point he decided to deepen his practice and discovered the magic of Ashtanga, Yin and Iyengar Yoga. Markus always brings enthusiasm and humor in his classes. Whenever it is possible, he likes adding a hint of vigorous yet meditative flow in his teaching. 19:15 – 20:30 Cost is by Donation or DANA - suggested Donation $10.00 - all proceeds go to support the Tibetan Education Fund of The Ottawa Sangha of esteemed Buddhist Master Anyen Rinpoche meets every Wednesday at 7:30 at Santosha to practice meditation and offer support to each other as we explore how the Buddhist practices of mindfulness and loving kindness can bring happiness to ourselves and others. We start with a group practice of silent meditation and then practice the Avaloketesvara Sadhana - ameditation practice with mantra designed to awaken Compassion for the benefit of ourselves and all sentient beings.
