Billy Bannon is a former college basketball coach turned yogi who has been leading vinyasa yoga practices since 2010. Initially trained by Lotus Club Yoga, he earned his 200-hr YTT with Be The Change Yoga (Irvine, CA) and is currently training for his 500-hr YTT with an emphasis in Yoga Therapy. After 17 years of coaching (including 10 years with Cal Poly Pomona), Billy officially traded in his whistle for a yoga mat. In 2012 he founded b.e.a.t.s. movement, providing workshops for workplace wellness programs, special events (private and public) and non-profit organizations, including the Prison Education Project, Veterans First and Padres Contra el Cancer. No stranger to the festival world, Billy has been been a part of the scene at BhaktiFest, ShaktiFest, Desert Hearts, Tropical Events, Elements of Life, Long Beach Love Fest and Good Vibe Tribe, among others. b.e.a.t.s. movement sessions incorporate breath work, yoga and meditation with making music, writing and dialogue and aredesigned for participants to expand, elevate and connect with self, one another, community and beyond.
