Truth!
Whenever I hear these words spoken by one radio announcer: “I hear the Holy Ghost speaks to me” I find myself smiling. The reason for my smile is that, I believe what this person says to be true. Oftentimes, I wonder what other listeners take away from this one announcement.
Whether you call it instinct or directions from the Holy Spirit, ultimately God will make His Will clear to you at some point in your life, whenever He speaks to you.
Yesterday, I shared despite it being Friday, March 13th it “was not one of those days that I wanted to rewind or fast forward.” In spite of me stating, I did not want “to rewind” the day, I did share its sequence of events, one being a visit to the pharmacy.
The fact of the matter is, I had to make some tough choices in that pharmacy: a decision what not to buy and to buy based on my sense of urgency. This reality of putting back shopping items to balance a budget is never easy.
Interestingly enough, I did not share the name of the pharmacy or what I needed to buy in that visit. And today I find this item in a treasure box left for me on Day II at a Women’s Retreat.
To rewind my day, yesterday, meant reliving a moment and questioning decisions I made in that pharmacy, one that would leave me angry over circumstances that want to get the best of me.
To fast forward my day, yesterday, meant a wanting for the day to instantly end. But that would leave me to dismiss the Message of Jesus that saturated my heart later that Friday the 13th, a date we know gives enough people the creeps.
It was just yesterday I thought, I desperately need that pack of facial wipe to remove the heavily layered make-up used to cover up blemishes on my chin while in CVS. Instead, I followed that inner voice that told me to leave it, don’t buy it today.
I thought, oh God all of my efforts in restoring my skin just went out the window by me using a Creamy Cocoa Butter & Shea Body Wash on my face. Even though I had another facial product to use, I didn’t want to irritate my skin because I am already using prescribed cream that peels my skin. A facial scrubs with grains, sand or microbeads gets into my eyes and that’s painful to me.
So, I will get to the point why I smile whenever I hear these words, “I hear the Holy Ghost speaks to me” because as crazy this saying may sound to anyone, God provides me with just enough to go by in my journey to live for His purpose. He has a sense of humor and will make you find humor in humility.
