Renu Namjoshi offers a unique service based on 20 years of deep study and practice of all aspects of life, as revealed in the system of Vedic Sciences, including , , , Meditation and Mantra practice. Renu was born in India, where she spent her first nine formative years engaging in the culture, traditions and spirit of Yoga. After leaving India, she lived in Southeast Asia and Europe before settling in the United States. She graduated with a degree in International Relations from University of Reading, England and pursued a professional career, where she held management positions in a multitude of environments, including universities, corporate America and environmental organizations. In 1992, she returned to her Indian roots and began her formal studies of Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedic Astrology (Joytish). She has studied with of the American Institute of Vedic Studies in Santa Fe, New Mexico and many master Vedic Astrologers in India and in the US.
Stephanie Shorter, PhD, is passionate about promoting yoga as a foundation for wellness, personal transformation and profound social change. Originally trained in behavioral neuroscience and cortical electrophysiology, Stephanie was a research associate professor at Vanderbilt University and published studies about visual perception, attention and motor control before shifting her research focus to yoga research in 2007. She is the Program Director of the for YogaFit Training Systems Worldwide and a member of their Medical Advisory Board. She previously worked with the Kripalu Center’s yoga research group. Active with several yoga outreach organizations, including serving as the Board Vice President for , Stephanie is also the Assistant Editor of , a UN-affiliated publication about social transformation and interdependence.
Cody Drasser is our Hatha Yoga master teacher. His style of teaching emphasizes the breath and introspection. He has completed 500+ training hours with Yoganand Michael Carroll in the tradition and is currently working towards certification as a yoga therapist. Cody taught asana and meditation workshops for over three years at the in Massachusetts. Being part of the yoga team at Kripalu afforded Cody the opportunity to study with many eminent yoga teachers including Shobhan Richard Faulds, Tom Gillette, Rodney Yee, and Bo Forbes. He has also studied Thai yoga massage with the Lotus Palm School and relishes being able to get away when he can for Vipassana meditation retreats. Cody’s other passions are creating and .
