DeadCan Dance is the duo of accomplished musicians and vocalists and . Both have immense training and talent and together they create lush music that is beautiful to listen to. They perform a wide range of their own songs as well as folk songs from cultures all around the world. Most musicians don’t sound as good live as they do on a recording but when you’re listening to Dead Can Dance you should really listen to a live recording to truly appreciate the artistry and beauty of the music they create. Recommended album: Delerium started as a side project of Industrial music artists Bill Leeb and Michael Balch who were well known as Frontline Assembly. Eventually Michael Balch went a different way and Bill Leeb continued working with Rhys Fulber as Delerium. They wanted to explore the more melodic side of electronic music and formed Delerium for that purpose. They have worked with a rotating lineup of female vocalists for Delerium projects including , and Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance.Recommended album: Sheila Chandra is known for her rich voice and her mastery of the ancient drone style of singing. Her music is haunting and melodious and fantastic for meditation, especially songs like Om Namaha Shiva which is a mantra that is beautifully sung. While she doesn’t sing anymore due to illness she has an extensive body of work that is still wonderful to listen to and to play during meditation. Recommended album: Desert Dwellers Desert Dwellers is the working name for two American DJs who got into the world music and world fusion music scene in the 90s when it was just starting to take off in the US.
