Meditation is the technique of stilling the mind for a short period of time, from a couple of minutes to 20 minutes sessions, with the aim of lessening the chatter in your head and providing your mind, body and soul with a break from the hussle and bussle of modern living.
But this doesnt mean that meditation is a modern practise, its roots stem back to ancient times and has been introduced to western society through buddist and yoga practises. In recent years meditation has gained independent exposure and its benefits on mental and physical health are widely documents and appreciated.
The practice of meditation can range from purely spiritual to mostly physical and we usually offer three of these types, namely Concentrative, Mindfullness and Visualisation meditation. Here is a list of the more popular meditation types and a short explainations;
