Movement & Meditation Workshop with Denise
Sunday, May 1, 2016
Living a vibrant, joyful life
Meditation and mindfulness are all over the news these days. What’s the big deal? Does it have to look like sitting on a cushion for an hour a day?
We all know the feeling of connection and how amazing it is. But when it’s not there, we search outside of ourselves for relief. We can work our body to exhaustion or entertain and distract ourselves, but if there’s no peace in the mind, there’s no peace. In a meditation practice, we learn to tune in instead of tuning out. We come home to ourselves: learning to be present to what’s happening right now on every level – in the body, mind, heart. When we can open to our present experience and welcome it, we transform the experience, seeing life in a fresh new way. The good news is that we can cultivate meditation and mindfulness both on the cushion and in everyday life. Learn how to transform your yoga practice, cycling, running, dance into moving meditation and bliss. Join Denise for this 2-hour workshop, which will include discussion, short meditations, and meditation integrated with yoga/movement.
When: Sunday, May 1, 2016 Time: 12:00 – 2pm Where: 1100 S Lamar Blvd, Suite 1115 Austin, TX 78704 (512)298-3400 What to bring: Yoga mat, cushion or blanket to sit on Cost: $30. Online registration coming soon!
