Radio EarthRites: A Bit Of History

A bit of history for those who are just arriving here. Radio Free EarthRites,(RFER) as it was originally called was a service for the Earthrites online community and associated friends. It helped shape the on-line community, and was the soundtrack for many a discussion over the years. It went through a varieties of hostings situations, ending up on Doug’s laptop in West London for 3-4 years. Of course all things change and it closed down about 4-5 years ago as the times changed. Radio Earthrites has has been revived, now going through its Beta Testing, and Redesign Phase. We are still working out playlist, musical formats, jingo’s and the like to shape it nicely.

The original Radio EarthRites was set up to benefit a small community with music, spoken word and more. Now we want to make the circle wider, more inclusive. More music, commentary… podcast, more friends listening. It’s started to grow, and we hope you like what you hear and see here! We are wide open to suggestions to improve how we can serve our community better. You are invited to join us!

Of course providing this service involves time & cost. If you like what you are listening to here we would greatly appreciate help to defray cost for streaming/hosting and paying ASCAP/BMI fees etc. If you want to help keep us going there are a variety of ways.
