Anglican Prayer beads
The use of beads (or knotted cords, or stones) to count prayers exists in early records of nearly every spiritual tradition.
They are used to foster contemplative, meditative, and reflective prayer.
The rhythm discourages distractions and focuses attention so we can more readily move into God’s presence.
There are several types of prayer beards available. This page briefly explains the use of the more common style.
All our prayer beads come with a small prayer booklet explaining their use and including several sample prayers.

We start and end at the Cross.
The Invitatory Bead is used to invite ourselves into the circle of prayer and contemplation, just like the Invitatory begins a church service, calling us to worship.
We followed the beads in an anti-clockwise direction.
Each of the Cruciform Beads is a stop point, a place to refocus.
The sets of 7 Week Beads are used to repeat the prayer or divided a prayer into 7 manageable parts.
