Controlling your stress levels may be one of the healthiest things you do in a day. You may exercise and eat a great diet, but if you spend your day stressed to the max you are likely heading for an early grave. This is one of the major points to address listed on my page. I also discuss it some in this post on .
, certified doctor of natural medicine and clinical nutritionist, who writes at has an article on 8 natural ways to relieve stress which I am linking below. I know this is one of my challenges personally, and actually may be a little harder to implement than the other factors in a healthy lifestyle.
I believe that stress is a good thing in a dose-dependent fashion – in other words we were made to be stressed and back in fight or flight days it played a useful role in keeping us alive. I believe it still plays a useful role in helping us meet life’s challenges, as long as it is engaged for the purpose of accomplishing a certain short term outcome, and then allowed to dissipate and return the body to a more normal state.
I encourage you to find a few strategies that work for you to keep your stress level controlled, and then implement them as you can. Every little bit helps, as they say, and eventually these practices become a way of life.
Enjoy the article.
